1 - What is Del Ray? Del Ray is a 100+ year old community within Alexandria, Virginia in the suburbs of Washington, DC.

2 - What are Del Ray's boundaries? Our boundaries are generally Braddock Road to the south, Route 1 to the east, East and West Glebe Road to the north, and Russell Road to the west. You can view a map here.

3 - Is there a citizens association that covers Del Ray? Yes. The Del Ray Citizens Association (DRCA) was formed in 1954 as a non-profit (501c4) organization for Del Ray residents and business owners who live, do or own a business or deal with property in Alexandria, Virginia.
The goal of the DRCA is to keep its members informed of many aspects of Alexandria City life, including land use, public safety, volunteer opportunities, City Commissions, Alexandria Public Schools, parks and recreation facilities, transportation, business, housing, and many other major issues which impact quality of life.

4 - When does the citizens association meet? The DRCA meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday of September through June. Typically the meetings are held in the auditorium of Mt. Vernon Community School, 2601 Commonwealth Avenue. Meetings usually last approximately 1-1/2 hours and are open to the entire community.

5 - How do I join the association? Currently, membership is open to residents, landowners, and businesses within the boundaries of Del Ray.
People who donot qualify for full members but are interested in Del Ray may become associate members. Associate members have access to the website, receive the newsletter, and may attend and participate in meetings. They may not vote chair a committee, or serve as an officer.
Membership applications are available on-line, and you may pay your dues via PayPal or a check once you complete your application.
